Here follows the listing of all tool groups with hints and mnemonics to learn the abbreviations easier.Abbreviations that have the first letter of the respective function are not listed separately.
A - Element Selection - often the first thing to do and A the first letter in the alphabet
W - Models - W upside down is M or the whole World of models
ED - Level Display - the letter E is a L plus two more lines and we have two dialogs for levelsEA - Level Manager - same as above plus A is the second letter in ManagerZZ - Cells - C is in use for circle, Z is spoken similar to C
X - Mirror - X the only letter on the left that can be mirrored through horizontal and vertical centerline
T - Line - we have SS for Smartline and the T comes after the S
Q - Points - the Q from a distance looks like a point
FF - Construction Lines - the F looks like three construction lines
T - Walls - a T-shaped Wall?
E - Create Usershape - the E looks a bit like the icon for creating a usershape
R - Plates - like Rectangular plates
V - Isometric Overview - maybe the most used command in this group, so the same letter as for displaying the group
GG - ACS View - Get your ACS aligned to the view
WW - Clip Plane Distances - how Wide is the clip plane distance?
E - Object View Centered - or Element View Centered
B - Saved Views - the Best views will be saved
DS - Hide - or Disappear Single part
DE - Hide Except - Disappear Except
DG - Hide Grroup - Disappear Group
DD - Disappear Except Group - most often used so DD is the easiest
ZZ - Object ACS Centered - difficult, just one of the remaining letters
FF - Stiffener - well, there is a double F in StiFFener
QQ - purlin is a high Quality connection for roof constructions
AA - Shearplate - The horizontal beam in an A can be connected with shearplates to the columns left and right
R - Handrail - or HandRail
SD - Structural Objects - or Structural Dialogs
FF - Modify - as the main feature in this group it has the same short cut letter as the tool group F
X - search parts - searching for part X
T - Drawing Information Table
X - Collision Detection - the X could also be a symbol for two colliding beams
A - Positioning Dialog - important feature, so it gets the main letter A
C- NC Export
F - Search Parts - in most programs Control + F starts the search feature
G - IFC Export - it's Great that we have a direct ProSteel IFC Export
V - Import - Control + V to paste something into the model, just like importing
C - Revision Center
AA - ProSteel Dimensions - PS dimensions are the first option - A
BB - MS Dimensions - are the second option - B
FF - Positioning - like Position Flag
XX - Place TeXt
Here, the commands in the dropdown for Positionflags also have shortcuts which are added as a postfix.
S - Displaymode for IlluStration with Shadows
X - Tile - the symbol for Tile could also look like this: with a X in it
Control + C is the standard shortcut for Copy. So this tool group is for copying.
C - MicroStation Copy
Now, the main letters on the left are A S D F, and that is the order of the keys:A - Copy XS - Copy YD - Move/Copy Dialog F - Copy X/Y
Control + X is the standard shortcut for Cut. And moving an object is like cut + insert.So this is the tool group for moving
X - MicroStation Move
Now, the main letters on the left are A S D F, and that is the order of the keys:A - Move XS - Move YD - Move/Copy Dialog F - Move X/Y
Control + Z is the standard shortcut for undo. So this is toolbox is for undo and dropping.
Z - undo
W - dropping for Weldshapes
A - delete Element - important command, so A as the main letter on the left

The Q tool group is mostly for settings.
Q - Key in - as the main feature in this group, same letter as the tool group for an easy call

D - Nearest - the most inaccurate - do you Dare to use nearest snap
W - Keypoint - the W as a drawing object has many keypoints
X - Intersection - the X looks just like the symbol
G - Perpendicular - The G consists also of two lines perpendicular to each other
E - Parallel - all horizontal lines in an E are parallel to each other
SA - MultiSnap 1 - S for Snap and A like number 1 in the alphabet
SB - MultiSnap 1 - S for Snap and B like number 2 in the alphabet
SC - MultiSnap 1 - S for Snap and C like number 3 in the alphabet
