Automatic Bolting is not working in ProSteel

      Product(s): ProSteel
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Steel Placement
      Subarea: Bolting
Original Author: Mihir Patil, Bentley Product Advantage Group

    Problem

After drilling the holes, when automatic bolting is attempted then sometimes bolts may not appear because of the incorrect settings in the ‘Bolts’ dialog.

This wiki will show you the reasons and correct methods that should be followed before placement bolts.

    Solution

When bolts do not appear after their placement then please keep open the ‘Bolts’ dialog open and make sure the following things are followed:

    1. Check whether the Diameter of the hole and diameter of the bolt are matching.
    2. Then make sure that under the ‘Bolting’ tab the tolerances for Gap and Angle values are kept as 1.
    3. Check the proper work loose value is used.

Check all the above values and place the bolts with help of the automatic bolting option. This will resolve your issue and bolts will get placed correctly and appear in the model.
