Overview

When working with congested reinforcing bars, overlapped bars are sometimes encountered in 2D drawings. Some bars are needed to be offset for plan reading distinction. This document will explain how to fudge reinforcing bars.

Method

1. Click the Fudge Rebar tool which can accessed from Concrete > Drawing Production > 2D Rebar > Fudge Rebar.

2. Select a long bar or main bar. The Fudge Rebar dialog box opens.

When selecting a long bar, check the Select LongBar Group option to fudge a group of long bars. If this option is unchecked, the selected long bar will get fudged.

3. Select the Type and Method of Fudge. It can be Single Leg or Whole Bar fudge for the Type. For method, Dynamics, Distance, Bar size and Rotate are the options.

4. Click the icon   if you want to reset the fudge bar.
