In modeling beam reinforcements, most beams introduce second layer of main reinforcements as per design requirements. This document will guide you on how to create these rebars to an existing beam.
1. In an existing concrete beam with reinforcement, go to its Structural Properties and head over to Longitudinal Reinforcing tab.
2. Add another Zone. Set the Label, Location and Quantity Data based on your requirements.
3. Add Clearance value to the newly created zone. This value will set the second layer at distant apart with respect to the first layer.
4. Add Reinforcing Data to the newly created zone. Set the labels, location, quantity, offsets, rotations, end conditions, and remarks based on your requirements. And finally, click the rebars in the cross section around to define the rebars.
In this way, you can add another layer of beam reinforcements in a much more clearance as well as in any other sides of the beam.
