Overview

When performing Manual Bar Marking, original bar marks are replaced by user defined marks (User Marks). However, this way doesn't mean it will remove the original bar marks but rather introduce another information about the rebars via Item Types feature from MicroStation. These new marks will be displayed in 3D and 2D drawings at the user discretion.

In this document, we will learn how to display User Marks in 2D Rebar Labels.

Steps to follow

1. In the 3D Model, apply the Manual Bar Marking on the rebars and indicate the required User Marks.

2. Create the 2D drawing on your model using Dynamic Views.

3. Then, perform Modify Rebar tool to modify the existing rebar labels created by the Auto Rebar Labeling feature.

4. Under Rebar Label option >  Label Text, type ${UserMark.Mark} in the available fields around.

Note: Ensure that the correct brackets are used in the text presets. For item types, we need to indicate curly brackets in the text preset codes.

User Mark Text Codes:

1. ${UserMark.Mark} - For standard marks
2. ${UserMark.VaryMarkRange} - For vary set marks

Following the procedure, you may now display user marks on your 2D drawings which can also be simultaneously displayed with other rebar label texts.
