Overview

In the below snapshot, I have placed one custom Workframe grid at a particular area for creating a 2D drawing in detail center. In this wiki, we are going to see the usage of Workframe Boundary in Detail Style.

Steps to be follow

Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

Open Detail Style and go to 2D Display > View and here we can find the Workframe Boundary options. There are total three options available as shown in the below image.

A. Not Used
B. Objects only inside
C. Clip 2D

We will check one by one how the results of these options will be.

A. Not Used:
This option applies no effect. The generated view is not put into x/y plane (z=0), but it is aligned and placed in the same way as in the model.

B. Objects only inside:
Only those parts are taken into consideration which are situated completely or at least up to their half within the Workframe. Thus, you can make a special selection out of the area – otherwise, all parts are shown which are situated on the level of the Workframe (i.e. in the way you would see them in reality).

C. Clip 2D:
- The objects get clipped within 2D detail on edges of Workframe boundary used in 3D model.
