Problem Description

After changing the view by object view centered or by view frames with view depth, cross sections of shapes and/or plates are not displayed.

Reason

Clipping is not activated for Shapes and Plates in the Global Settings/Options.

Shape Clipping: The active UCS plane (top view) displays the cross-section of the object tapered to it theoretically. This option should be turned on. When this option is switched off, you do not get a correct cross-section top view of an object if it starts below and ends above sectional plane.

Plate Clipping: This option is identical with Shape Clipping, but it is only valid for plates.

Steps to Resolve

1. Open the Global Settings or Options by holding the right mouse button in the View window and then click on the Options.

2. Left click on the Display tab and activate the clipping options for shapes and plates. By activating these options, it enables the display of Shape and (or) Plate sections even when the endpoints are outside the current clipping plane.
