We all know that regression tools are still better in Rail Track (ALG) than in OpenRail and we are looking forward 2020-R3 for new capabilities.
However, Rail Track SS10, preferred to any other v8i because it includes new licensing system, can do the job. Then you can continue modelling in OpenRail.
So the question is what's happening if I change the geometry in the ALG ?
As long as you import from the same Geometry Project name and same Alignment Name, then it will update your OpenRail alignment.
It means that you don't break any rules with the corridor or with offset geometry. You can even rename the OpenRail alignment and this mechanism will still work. The OpenRail alignment knows the Project name and Alignment name it has been created from.
Note that it relies on name not on any UID.
Unfortunately the ALG import does not support turnouts. Only the turnout library can be imported.
What about the turnouts created in alg ? Can we import them somehow to Open Rail ?
