Bentley Power Rail Overhead Line training resources and API

Hi,

I've recently started using Power Rail Overhead Line (PROL). I'm evaluating the program for our company.

I've gone through the videos in the LEARN server and I was wondering if there were more training resources. It is also likely that we might need to extend the capability of PROL with plugins or macros. Is there an API reference available somewhere?

    I hope you have seen the videos installed with the software in this folder "\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\PowerRailOverheadLine V8i\PowerRailOverheadLine\InRoadsGroup\Sample Data\Overhead Line Training Videos"

    Apart from these two type of instructor led trainings (virtual/physical) are available

    2. 2 day advance course on PROL for administrators - for configuration of Design Rules, Template Library and drawing production configurations...

    Can you please share what capabilities are you considering to extend in PROL? We don't have an API for PROL presently.

    Hey Jugal,

    Yes I have gone through those videos. I will keep the training courses in mind.

    I'm not exactly sure yet what kind of additional extensions we may need, but one quick example comes to mind. Our main client specifies that we use a program which, given the required parameters, will generate the desired OHW (overhead wiring) structure. This structure is defined by a code and a bunch of numbers. I would like the ability to generate these structures within PROL directly by specifying this code. So being able to interface with the structure-generating logic within PROL would be useful in that regard.

    hi Chris,

    Jugal has left the company. The best is to contact your Account Manager who can send a proposal and check for available resource on PROL.

    The Overhead line in Open Rail Designer Release 4 is just preview?  Is there any update?

    The video in PROL is missing during installation.  Is there any chance that I can download in here?
