Even though rail engineers prefer to place turnouts and crossovers on straights, there are many situations where this is simply not possible.
So, when it is necessary to place turnouts or crossovers in a curve with cant, OpenRail Designer can handle this situation - even vertically! You can even design the turnout in such a way it can automatically update when main line design changes.
During this session, we will show:
OpenRail Coffee Corners are open to all Bentley users, free of charge. One learning unit is applied to each participant’s Bentley Transcript for self-reporting. To view prior sessions, watch the Recordings On-Demand.
**The webcast will be streamed through your computer, so there is no dial-in number. Please make sure your computer speakers (or headset) are turned on and the volume is set to an audible level so you can hear the presenters. Help
Please create a video how to create a turnout/cross over library and save it in the library as many countries turnout is not available in open rail designer.

The crossover object doesn't exist anymore since 2021 R1.
Would be helpful to know which is the procedure to model a crossover with version 2021 ...
Yes, correct, earlier version 2020 R3 has this.
You can register to the coffee corner to watch the recording.
A crossover is 2 connected turnouts. Less flexibility to slide the whole crossover along the alignment, but is it critical capability?
Really nice video indeed, it solved my doubts!!
BTW could you advice me some material (manual, video etc...) about how to master "Geometry Builder"/"Geometry Connector"/"Geometry Builder Edit" tools? My impression is that they are powerful tools but I am having huge problems to understand what are they intended for, and how to make an efficient use of them ...
Than you very much in advance.
Hi, please look at these two videos link on youtube available for these two tools, which is quite useful for me. Hope it will help you too. One JPLN was created for the connector.
