You ask a very pertinent question, When? I've been asking the same question for more than a year. First I was told 1st quarter 2015. That came and went. Then I was told May 2015. It is the 26th of May today - I'm not very optimistic that it will happen before the end of the week. Somewhere I read that Bentley have anounced that releasing Openrail this year is their top priority - I would hope so. Furthermore, I understand that there will not be a beta-version.

An invitation only Beta was released in March for SELECTseries 4 Bentley Rail using OpenRoads technology. The invitations were to known named contacts in Bentley Rail SELECT subscriber organisations. Apologies here if you were not included, but it was not an 'open to all Beta' since we did not want to burden organisations and there were several pre-requisites impacting a more open Beta.

With regard to the dates you mentioned, these were defined as a Q1 Beta with a target release in Q2 and we are still on target for these but there is associated release material needing to be in place for training etc.

Usually a Bentley Community is created when Early Access Preview (EAP) is ready. Then you can join the community to participate.

OpenRail Designer EAP is expected during Q4/2017

Bentley, any news on this, because it's almost the end of the year!!
