Ground data are collected with respect to centre line in offset method .
chainage, offset, reduced level in auto level .
how to import and apply in alignment.
please help me
what do you mean by "reduced level in auto level" ?
what is the version of software you are using.
Do you have a sample file?
REDUCED LEVEL MEANS LEVELS WRT MEAN SEA LEVEL

10 -10 98
THIS IS THE FORMAT WE HAVE, THIS IS REFERENCE TO EXISTING ROAD DATA.
you can import this using text import wizard. Set your alignment as active and import the text file defining columns station, offset, elevation. But first you have to amend the file so that the station appears on each line.
Hi JPLN,
Thanks for your Quick Responses.
i have a doubt about how to annotate Ground data 5x5 m interval. i used Gridded model but i got grid boxed parallel to True North. But i need Grids parallel / Perpendicular to my alignment . i.e how ever alignment tilts in the same direction i need 5x5m grid ground data annotation. Is there any way to get, please suggest me.
I Tried this option: Surface>View Surface>Gridded model>View Gridded model (to View Grid Boxes) &
Surface>View Surface Elevations. (to annotate Elevations).
Here i attached screen shot of output.
If you don't already have the points you want to annotate, you will have to create them.
One way is to create a template (reusable) with a single component (or only null points) that includes enough points on left and right each 5m.
Each point must have a horizontal constraint (5m from the previous or a distance from the axis) and a project to surface (active or named one). Create a corridor using this template at a regular interval = 5m. create Surface, Annotate features of this surface.
