Hai all
While creation of DTM, importing Breakline features from survey data.
Unfortunately i imported same elements thrice. i checked in the surface properties also it took 3 times of each element. i triangulated the DTM but i didn't found any features what are duplicated but those are counted in Feature count.
What will happen if i continue with this.. any change of getting more quantities or any issues further?
is there any possibility to delete those features only other than repeating whole work?
Thanks & Regards
Naveen
I would suggest deleting the duplicate features in order to avoid future complications. Go to Surface>Edit Surface>Delete Feature. Choose your surface. Highlight the features that you want to delete and then hit apply. Save your surface when you are done.
hello blind,
We can delete but while creation of DTM i did by using Element selection instead of level selection (if i delete the Feature it is going to delete whole things in particular feature i need to delete duplicated items in particular feature only) and i proceeded further i haven't found any errors as of now. I want to know in future is there any chance to get issues?
The best would be to delete all features if you are able to import them again. Anyway, if the triangulation has been calculated without any issue, then you should not get issue while using the DTM. Duplicate features increase the size of the DTM and calculation time for triangulation. No effect on volume.
To clean up the DTM with only the DTM as source, you can display features (all but points) in an empty DGN, then cleanup data using MicroStation tool "Utilities>Data Cleanup". Then delete all features from DTM and import from graphics.
