Hello All
I am currently using Power Rail.
I have created a horizontal alignment.
When I attach a reference file the reference line sits on top of the elements of my design centre line.
Is there anyway of setting the order of reference attachments so that the references sits underneath the design elements.
I hope this makes sense, I have attached a picture of what I am referring to.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
You must go to the reference dialog>Settings>Update Sequence. it is the display order: last displayed on top. You must put the design file at the bottom of the list. It also applies for raster. It also true for 2D models where you can manage also the order of elements using priority. For 3D the elevation is used unless you change the display style (for example Wireframe) setting to check ON "Use File Order for Display".
you are working in 2d or 3d?
Hi Naveen
I am working in 3D
hello stewart,
what JPLN explained is right.
if u r working with
2D - u can use Priority option
3D- u can use to update sequence option in reference dialog
References dialog boz>Settings>update sequence ... by using arrows at top of window .. keep first, which one u want to view at top > ok.
Thanks & Regards
Naveen
Hi JPLN
Thanks for your response.
I have acted on your advice and amended the order of the reference via the Update Sequence menu so that my active design file is at the bottom of the list, however my reference file still sits on top of my design file.
I have attached a screen shot of the View Attribute Menu, the Update Sequence menu and circled in red where the reference still is on top of my active design file.
In the View Attributes Menu I have my display style as WireFrame but I cannot find the option for "Use File Order for Display".
In the Update Sequence menu my active design file is on the bottom of the list (Bstoke Model File is my active design file and Survey 64 64 64 is my reference).
Still no luck - what am I doing wrong?
Can you help?
Thanks
