Hi,
I have two preference files, one displays existing vs. proposed cant (see image) - perfect, the second displays a cant alignment - I have been tasked with editing the second preference file however, for the life of me in the preference manager cannot find where BRT is pulling the data?
It should be in Evaluation>Profile>Annotate Profile
I understand how to display all the information, the image attached beforehand is from my profile. My question is, how do you display existing vs. proposed cant (where does the program pull the data from?) i.e. 4/10 - must be a setting somewhere in preference manager, etc.
Michael
The programme pulls the data from the child alignments of your horizontal alignment.
Generally, if you have created an Horizontal alignment based on an regression points from an existing Centreline, you will have an existing cant alignment as part of this process, using Convert Rails to Centreline Tool. If you then use this as the basis for your horizontal design, you will end up with a horizontal design alignment, a vertical design alignment as a child, a cant design alignment as a child and then an existing cant alignment as a child.
At this point, you have enough information to display existing vs proposed cant in your profile.
See attached image for my deisgn alignment. I have the following
- P_DUB_REV - Horizontal Design
- PV_DUB_REV - Vertical Design
- EC_DUB_REV - Existing cant
- PC_DUB_REV - Proposed Cant
Then in your vertical profile annotation - Evaluation - Profile - Annotate Profile. In the General Leaf, you can select the two cant alignments for proposed and existing cant for diaplay in your profiles.
Hope this helps
A
Data comes from the general leaf where you define the existing and proposed cant alignment.
