Hi
Still using Bentley Rail S2 and trying to set up a template that allows the end condition slope to vary. Please see attached pic (red dashed line).
Appreciate any advice and get-around methods to model this varying end condition slope (apart from using parametric constraints).
TIA
What do you want to do ? Do you want the slope to vary from a station to another station from 1in2 to 1in3 ?
In this case, parametric constraint is the best. If you don't want to use parametric constraint then use end condition exception (change the slope and manage the transition) or use 2 different templates drop, one with 1in2 and the other 1in3. They should transition automatically if one is the copy of the other with just a different slope.
Ideally the 1in2 slope would flatten to 1in3 after a certain height is reached. I would like the slope to automatically transition depending on the fill height.
thanks
well in this case, the 1in2 must be constrained by vertical constraint and box for "end condition is infinite" must be unchecked. The 1in 3 must be constrained only by slope with end condition infinite. It will change automatically from one slope to the other depending on the vertical constraint set for 1in2. Transition will be linear from a station to the next. You can't set a length of transition. it fully depends on the calculated stations (critical sections). If you want to control the transition length, then parametric constraint or end condition exception where you can set a transition.
