Running Power Rail Track SS4
I'd like to use the OpenRoads way of making a profile and vertical alignment due to it being dynamic as opposed to the InRoads explorer.
I've been attempting to make a design standard for rail (MBTA), but the standards are only set up for road design. Is it possible to change it to rail? I'd like to change "arc" to "chord," and need to include the super elevation elements into the calculation for the horizontal curves.
Is this even possible? Or is it only possible with the InRoads explorer with PI's and curve calculator?
Now, doing vertical design standards, it asks "Vertical Table Type" with L, K, and R tables. Changing them makes no difference to the "Table" options below it. What does changing the table type do?
design standards will improve for rail design standards in OpenRail, meanwhile we can use what is in. No way to include cant in the calculation. There is no replacement yet for the curve calculator.
Changing the table type indicates what kind of value is stored in the table: K, R, L
