Hi, i am trying to get up to speed on the basics of Open Rail Designer. Can anybody tell me how do i display the horizontal and vertical geometry and the levels below the vertical profile. i knew how to do it in the old bentley railtrack, it was just annotate profile and then it gave you a list of options of information to display.
Well, nothing to do with what you were used in Rail Track
1- Open profile view
2- create named boundary/boundaries from Drawing Production. Use Profile Named Boundaries. You've got seed file with frame annotation, like "A1-Profile Frame".
3- create the drawing (usually step automatically performed after 2 if check box "create drawing" remains checked)
4- check the annotation group on the dialog to create drawing
2 models per sheet are created: one drawing model where to annotate and one sheet model, a layout of the previous.
If you want to test other annotation group, go into the drawing model to remove annotation and annotate model with a new one.
The explorer>OpenRail Standards>annotation group is where you can check/set the way profile is annotated.
It's worth noting there are some useful tutorials on YouTube as well...
