Hi guys,
Is there any possibility to create shunt limits for turnouts and displaying the shunt point in the design file?
Thx,,
WS
Yes in Rail Track SS4 (geometry>Turnouts>create Shunts), not yet in OpenRail Designer. However, you can define the shunt limits by offsets from alignment. With OpenRail Designer keeping the links between objects it will be dynamically adjusted if you change the alignment. You will have to adjust the offset if one radius changes.
jpln how would this work with civil accudraw? You are defining the position of a point based on offset/offset from two separate alignments, your turnout route and your through route CL
I would rather offset both alignment, then trim (or not) to get the point. You can keep these as Construction class and create a geometry point snapped to the intersection, or the key point of the trimmed element. it is not possible using CivilAccudraw because there is no method with offset/offset
Great. Thanks.
