Hi. All.
I am using power rail track. I've only designed single track so far, so I don't know how to design the station. I have to make the plan&profile and cross section.
If it is multiple track, I wonder if each track created alignment, each template should be created...ect.
Can someone tell me the order of station design(alignment&earthwork)?
You need to create all the alignments using geometry tools. This is much easier to do in new OpenRail Designer with using civil geometry, but once you set a workflow with using connection editor and parallel alignment tools you can do that also in Power Rail Track. Modelling depends on the typical section that you want to reach. If you will have a single subbalast layer then you can first model this as a wide area (using your outer geometry as point control) and then on top of that place your ballast layers for each geometry. Or you can create some rule based templates that starts as a single track but can expand to multiple tracks. If you can share your typical section drawing, I can help better.
Thank you so much your reply. Your kind explanation has helped me a lot.
If you have time, could you help me a little more?
I send you typical cross section of the main line and station track layout.
I'm much obliged to you for your help.

Did you manage to model the station ? According to the dwg you only have to manage a single to double platform transition (and reverse) unless there are some specific contraints due to the station. The Xsection doesn't give all information about "h" or height of ditch above ground.
