Should using the "Sort Horizontal Points" tool on a set of 3D points create a 3D regression line? I noticed that by using the prompts in 2D space (points have elevation to them), a horizontal regression line is successfully created for use with the Horizontal Regression tools. However, the Regression Line itself is flat (all points at elevation zero) so "Create Profile from Regression Line" and "Vertical Regression Tools" do not work using this line.

Hello I'm experiencing this same problem again so would like to receive some advice. I complete the work flow mentioned above and am able to retain a clear horizontal line. However when I "create profile from regression line" the corresponding profile is completely straight and the vertical curvature diagram has only a couple points recognized.
Are there any ways to ensure all points are captured vertically?
