Hi, the aerial background image doesn't show after togging it on. I'm using ORD update 5, I have an internet connection and have the site geo-referenced. Any suggestion to a solution ?
First idea is that you are not connected to the Connection Client. It is a requirement;
I have this issue and have confirmed that I am connected to the Connection Client.
ORD 2022 R1, 10.11.00.115
Zoom way out.
Many times the Aerial won't display when the file is incorrectly placed in a coordinate system. If the file is, for instance, placed in the ocean because the wrong coordinate system was chosen in relation to the survey data, the aerial background won't display because the Bing Imagery does not exist at the resolution needed for where the data is located in the model. Bing Imagery has higher resolution imagery over populated areas. Zooming way out will typically show the aerial imagery and the data in the ocean, or Greenland, or....
In my case, the aerial had been working fine for months, but for some reason some time this morning it stopped working. It was always in the right place, and always showing up even if we had to wait for a few seconds to let it load.
But just as I was going to try your solution, it works again without taking the steps you mentioned.
It wasn't working for about an hour or two this morning, so the best I can guess is that it was an issue with the aerial image server or somewhere between me and it.
I have the same problem as Derek, as well as 2 co-workers.
The objects are in the correct coordinates, the work area is georeferenced as well.
Zooming out shows the map and the objects located correctly but tiny. When zoomed in, the map disappears.
