Workspace Setup

Question

My company has already setup the cfg files so that my workspace dropdown menu bypasses the "out of the box" training workspaces and goes right to our organization's custon workspace files. I am taking the training courses Bentley offers but I need to get back to these training files workspace configurations that are still on my C drive. Is there a way of configuring the setup/configuration files where I can have all files ?

Yeah, that was the problem, my company edited the cfg file in that exact folder to bypass the training workspaces, I have it resolved now, our IT guy was able to get ahold of the "out of box" cfg files and I replaced them in that folder, all works well now, thanks for response.

Yes. The _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION variable is the one that perfectly matches this need. It is located in "C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRail Designer CE\Configuration\ConfigurationSetup.cfg" The good thing is that it can be configured during installation of the software so that there is no need to edit the cfg. 
 I configured it like that on my computer: _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION=D:/Local Documents/Workspace_OpenRail Designer CE/Configuration/ 
 So now I have my configuration in this location and Example configuration in the default workspace. Both are available from Workspaces dropdown list when opening OpenRail 
 Another one that can be useful if you want to share common resources from different Connect Edition software (MicroStation, OpenBuilding, etc.), like company text styles, levels, .. is: _USTN_ORGANIZATION 
 I configured it like that _USTN_ORGANIZATION = D:\OneDrive\OneDrive - Bentley Systems, Inc\Documents\My Biblio\USTN_Organization/ for all the software. Also in ConfigurationSetup.cfg. But in this case it will be used whatever the workspace, Example or any other.
