Hi everyone,
My track Alignment line (Green in dgn) is done by using Open Building Designer previously. How to import it in the Open Rail for me to generate other components. (Is it possible?)
By using the ORD, how do I create the sleeper along the track line with specific design (as shown in dgn) & make it auto rotate vertically at the curve area?
I attached with my DGN file. Photos below is the sleeper from the straight to curve area, every sleeper is start to rotate slowly from 0° to 3.998° vertically.
Diagram 1 - 0° (Straight)
Diagram 2 - 3.998° (Curve)
This is the example result that I need. May I know how to do it?
Thank you~
The most efficient way is using Generative Component: Sleepers as cell along track - OpenRail Wiki - OpenRail - Bentley Communities
It is unusual to import 3D linestring as track alignment from OpenBuilding. No geometry so not something helpful if you need geometry both on H and V.However you can always reference the drawing in the 3D model of OpenRail drawing (2D+3D), copy your alignment in the current model then use Create Plan from 3D command (Model Detailing ribbon) to create an alignment (made only of linear segments) you can then use as a reference to design.
