Hello,
I found an issue with vertical change in plan in Open Rail. When stationing of horizontal geometry is from right to left, we have an issue with proper annotation of grades and length in vertical change in plan. Problem does not exisit when we have stationing from left to right. Below two printscreens with unproper and proper annotaions.
1. Unproper, statioing is going from right to left direction.
2. Is Ok, when stationing is from left ot right.
Of course rotation of view in both plans are "unrotated". I have the same feature def. On plan gradient is in "per mille", on profile in "percentages", but it is not ans issue.
Can you provide the DGN? I have not seen this issue personally and I am curious as to what is going on. I use a lot of both L-R stationing and R-L stationing. I have built out my company's annotation for both L-R and R-L from scratch...
Helo Dan,
I writing to you about issue with Open Rail vertical change in plan. First of all, thank you for your interest in the matter. For me also it is strange issue, because in Bentley Rail Track SS2, everything worked OK.
Please find attached my file. Additional issue is also vertical radius, on profile I have proper value R=5000m, on plan I have R=0,002m , I have no idea why…
File for Daniel.dgn
for VPI annotation in plan, K=Radius when it is a circular curve.
Regarding the rotation of text; yes it looks like there is an issue understanding what perpendicular or tangent direction is relative to the vertical curve. It looks good and manageable if you use Radius direction instead:
