Hello,
I found an issue with vertical change in plan in Open Rail. When stationing of horizontal geometry is from right to left, we have an issue with proper annotation of grades and length in vertical change in plan. Problem does not exisit when we have stationing from left to right. Below two printscreens with unproper and proper annotaions.
1. Unproper, statioing is going from right to left direction.
2. Is Ok, when stationing is from left ot right.
Of course rotation of view in both plans are "unrotated". I have the same feature def. On plan gradient is in "per mille", on profile in "percentages", but it is not ans issue.
Hi Mikolaj,
any updates on this issue? I am facing the same in ORD 10.11. This is how vertical change in plan looks like when the alignment goes from south to north:
VPI symbology appears independently of the alignment direction, regardless of the Rotation Option setting.
Moreover, at greater slopes, this strange defect becomes apparent:
When the profile was created, exactly 20 ‰ was entered.
Am I the only one struggling with this?
Hi Ales,
Did you manage to figure this out? I'm also struggling with the same issue it seems.
As far as I can understand, the "VPI Symbology" always rotates as seen from top view. The perpendicular to track centerline doesn't seem to work no matter what I try.
Hello Ales and EBlach, no updates. I still work on Bentley Rail Track SS2 and Open Rail I use only for trening but it is nightmare. I did not find aby solution of the issue.
Mikolaj
I filed it as a defect last night. According to Bentley it is a known issue that the development is working to address.
Guess we'll just have to wait. And until then the only "work around" is to rotate the slope indicators manually...
