Hi,
I am an MX Rail user that is migrating to Bentley Rail Track and I have a problem with regards to the vertical design.
I have created my horizontal alignment and I have triangulated a surface model (based of existing contour information) to obtain the existing vertical profile along the alignment. However, when I try to place a vertical element (straight or curve) by snapping to a point within the vertical profile it returns a value of 0 for both the stationing and the level.
As mentioned I am use to MX Rail where the vertical alignment is produced in a different view within the software and it is possible to snap to points within the exisitng profile.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Take a look if your check boxes for the points, grade or distance are activated. If not, you're in interactive mode and the text boxes will always show 0. But you should be able to create elements by snapping the profile and see the elements in the profile or in the "Check Integrity" dialog.
Regards
Bernd
Please check locks for snap. Probably you have got it locked as Point Snap Lock. It should work as you expect with No Snap.
