We got the alignments in BRT (horizontal, vertical en cant) now is the question how do i get this into MX?
Whe have the option in BRT File -> Translator Import from MX / Export to MX. If i use Export to MX and select the alignment(s) and want to export the alignments i get a error. This is the message "Error converting MX models to LandXML".
The other options is using the LandXML translator and using the Export Alignment. I can select the alignment, only one at a time, and make a xml file.In MX i can import the XML file with Import LandXML. Problem is that if i want to import the XML file that MX doesn't want to import the data. so no alignments in MX
So, how do i import the alignment made in BRT into MX?
Best regards,
Ariaan
PS If i use export surface from the LandXML translator and make a XML file from a surface i can import this file intp MX with Import LandXML
The most common method is LandXML translator. There have been some enhancements and fixed in this area (SS2 versions, use the latest), as well as in MX. Which version of MX and BRT are you using ?
The BRT XML translator allows the export of several alignments in once but only the active vertical as MX doesn't support more than 1 vertical per horizontal.
The alignments should comply with MX depending on the MX project setting (tangential/non tangential, parabolic/circular) and no gap in the alignment.
I just imported 6 alignments in once. Because the MX import is using HALGN you can find some very small differences between alignments especially on the transition length.
In some rare situations the alignment can't be imported because of the geometry. In that case I suggest to fill a service ticket and join the alg o allow investigation.

I tryed the LandXML translator in BRT and it makes a XML file only MX doesn't load this XML file.
If i use the LandXML Translator in BRT i can only select one alignment (horizontal, vertical, cant) if i select the second alignment (horizontal, vertical, cant) it removes the first one from the list.
But thats not the biggest problem. I can make two XML files and import those in MX.
Maybe its something with the MX settings. I don't now how these are at the moment. Try to find these setting to find out what they are.
I'm using following versions:
Power Rail Track V8i Selectseries2 version 08.11.07.494
Bentley MXROAD V8i Selectseries 2 Version 08.11.07.427
