We got the alignments in BRT (horizontal, vertical en cant) now is the question how do i get this into MX?
Whe have the option in BRT File -> Translator Import from MX / Export to MX. If i use Export to MX and select the alignment(s) and want to export the alignments i get a error. This is the message "Error converting MX models to LandXML".
The other options is using the LandXML translator and using the Export Alignment. I can select the alignment, only one at a time, and make a xml file.In MX i can import the XML file with Import LandXML. Problem is that if i want to import the XML file that MX doesn't want to import the data. so no alignments in MX
So, how do i import the alignment made in BRT into MX?
Best regards,
Ariaan
PS If i use export surface from the LandXML translator and make a XML file from a surface i can import this file intp MX with Import LandXML
Hi Ariaan, I assume you need MX Rail to do that. Could you please provide the data to Gunnar.Pech@Bentley.com so we can test.
Thanks.
Hello Gunnar,
I send you the XML files i made with LandXML translator in BRT and the alg with the alignments.
If you need more just let me know.
can you use MXRail in MXV8i SS2? how you do it? or can it be added separately from Add-on?

Hello Kuga23,
I did not use MXRail but Bentley MXROAD V8i Selectseries2.
With the help of Gunnar and Hubertus i managed to get the algnment from BRT to MX.
Thanks very much guy's.
With LandXML Translator in BRT you can make a XML file. In MX you can import the XML file.
You get a window after you imported the XML file and you have to map the alignments. That is something i did not now and whas the reason that it did not work.
If you mapped the alignment (Model name, Style set etc.) you can import the alignment.
If there are still problems, like i had, you have to look in the project settings and maybe change the Vertical Design Parameters

Pleased to hear that you were using MXRoad. There have been problem using LandXML between BRT and MXRail that I believe are still unresolved. So I would advise users to be wary if they are using the latter combination of products to transfer data.
