At least apply to OpenRail Designer 2022 R2 (10.12.xx.xx) and previous (not all version checked)
At time of writing 10.12 is not yet released.

This is to clarify how centerline points are created from rails in OpenRail Designer and Rail Track.
It is slightly different.
Both are using left rail as a reference to create segment that intersects opposite rail.
Rail Track is using bisector line, whereas OpenRail Designer is using perpendicular from back segment.

At first point OpenRail is dropping opposite Rail when required:
