This STAAD Special Interest Group virtual workshop is the second in a two-part series on Footfall Vibration Analysis. The agenda focuses on methods and capabilities that best enable users to assess footfall vibration of concrete floors using RAM Concept:

  • Examine Resonant and Impulsive Response Types for concrete floors
  • Discuss two assessment types:
    • Simplified (fast) calculation
    • Modal Analysis
  • Consider the theory of vibration used for these assessment methods
  • Review evolving requirements for inclusion of an assessment of vibration requirements in modern buildings and the impact on design
  • Demonstrate a worked example of the assessment methods
