Hello everyone.
I need some help regarding the design of singly symmetric section by using ISECTION command in STAAD. The code I am using now is AISC UNIFIED 2005.
The design for shear, tension and compresssion I think, no problem. However, for the flexure design, I cannot make my manual calculation and the STAAD to be the same. Can someonr help me with this? Also, does STAAD can really design members for unsymmetrical section by this code? Thank you very much for your response.
In your post you mention I sections which I think of being singly, if not doubly symmetric. Staad.pro can certainly design either type according to the AISC standards. Can you elaborate on what section you are trying to design. post your Staad input file in your reply if you can.
