Dear RAM Team. I am modelling a single storey of a building but I want to have the effect of the columns above and below my slab. Is there a way to define columns going through? The only way I managed to model them is creating two columns in the same point, the first column as "Support set above" and the second as "Support set below".
Will I reach this way a proper behaviour? Thanks!
That's right. Model a column above and a column below. You can control the column length (height) and fixity of each independently. If both columns are fixed to the slab (near) then the columns are effectively continuous. Use the Elements layer - Structure Summary Perspective to check the input after meshing.
