Dear RAM Concept crew,
I would like to know how the shear design is done (not punching shear). I am using Eurocode 2. My question is: where is it checking the shear capacity? According to the EC it should be done at “d” distance from the edge of the column. Which is the angle of the strut considered? Usually with the EC we choose 21.8 degrees.
Is it taking the maximum shear at distance “d” or is it doing an average across a section at distance “d”? In this case, the section width is the Column strip from my “Design Strips”?
