Hi,
I am using RAM Structural Analysis and am having difficulty locating how to display the loads at the base of a column. Ideally I would like a plan of the building with the column loads to allow me to design the foundations by alternative methods. I can get a table of the loads and the node numbers but feel like there must be an easier way of displaying this information especially when I have over 200+ columns. Can somebody direct me how to achieve this or if it is possible.
Rhys
You can plot reactions in RAM Frame graphically, for load cases or load combinations, but only for member supports. You can also display reactions in RAM Concrete analysis mode, but this is based on finite element analysis we do in that module, which can yield different results from the simplified tributary analysis of Ram Steel (refer to RAM SS Analysis Types for details on how these things are different).
Otherwise you are limited to reports as you noted (either from RAM Manager or from the design modules). There are some additional options using Ram Data Access if you want to get into a little programming. What is RAM DataAccess?
