User Table Custom Section - Two Pipes (side to side) Defined by one element. Possible?

Hi guys/girls, 
 I'm interested in modeling two hollow steel pipes which, in real life, would be placed side by side as illustrated in the attached picture. 1. I'm trying to find out if I can model this using one element, by creating a custom section using the user table tool. 2. If so, would STAAD still be able to check the section for H1-1, H1-2, and H1-3 (AISC ASD Steel design Unity Ratio) ? Thank you for your time,

Yes you can do that. Define the cross section using Section Wizard which allows one to create such non standard sections using standard shapes. Subsequently export it to STAAD.Pro from within Section Wizard using File Export to STAAD.Pro > General Sections. General sections can subsequently be designed in STAAD.Pro as per AISC code.
