When I design the composite beams using deck generation method I get warning as
WARNING: MEMBER 136 HAS COMPOSITE PROPERTY ASSIGNED TO IT AND HENCE THE MATERIAL CONSTANTS
ARE SET AS THOSE OF STEEL. CURRENT SPECIFICATION IS IGNORED EXCEPT DAMPING RATIO.
Design code : IS800:1984 (WSD).
What this warning means?Few assumptions :
1) Is the warning to say the concrete specifications are ignored?
2) The Program is calculating the concrete to equivalent steel using modular ratio, then assign steel property set earlier in program and ignoring the parameters set for Composite DECK.
Please help in exact meaning of the warning shown by program.
