Then, on the higher level, model the column at point B. To make sure the column above (point B) is along the beam in plan, use reference layouts (options menu) and/or construction grids. Remember, we normally only show columns that project downward from the selected framing plan (and hanging columns that project upwards).&lt;/p&gt;
