I've had several failing bending and delfection, but it didn't provide a warning message

RE: No Warnings on Beam Failure?

Thanks! I was hoping to not have to go all the way through Beam/Column/Frame Analysis/Code Check just to find out a beam had failed the gravity beam check. But thanks for telling me about the Design Colors option. I never knew that was there. I had actually wondered if there was a function in the Beam module similar to the colored stress ratios that come up automatically in RAM Frame after running the Code Check. That's very helpful.

RE: No Warnings on Beam Failure?

I see now, I missed that these were the lateral beams in your first post. This is the intended behavior. We allow you to drill in and check the lateral beams with the Ram Steel Beam design process, but since this does not account for end fixity, the presence of braces or lateral loads, we don't provide warnings for those members in the design-all process or summary reports. What you can do is use Process - Design Colors and toggle on the Frame beams option to scan for any failures in the lateral beams.

RE: No Warnings on Beam Failure?

Model uploaded through the secure upload page. It's beam #19 on the 2nd floor. It's a lateral member, so I don't know if that factored into it not displaying the warning, but D+Lp governs in both the gravity beam module check and the RAM Frame Steel Code check. In Frame, it's accounting for the fixed ends and passes, but fails as a simple span under the Beam module assumptions.

RE: No Warnings on Beam Failure?

Better send us a sample.
