If you have a brace there, be sure to assign a gusset type base plate. The brace needs to be between 20 and 70 degrees and the column a plumb W or HSS shape.

I can reproduce the problem with the CBB_SP type. I'll have to report that to development. Meanwhile, you can assign the CBB_DA type to the joint, then drill into the connection and change the "Connection type to column" from Angles to Single plate in the gusset to column interface and also in the beam to column interface.

I just tried CBB DA connection types and am able to assign those, but when I try CBB SP (the type we typically use) I get the error I mentioned above. Do you have the same problem?

I was able to assign Gusset Connections in your model. I did so using joint 214 (I used the CBB DA type). I also tested using CVR connections at the places where the braces intersected beams. That also worked. I used Ram Connection 11.00.00.177 like you, along with RAM Structural System 15.01.00.00. I'll send you a private link to the revised file in case it helps.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I still cannot assign several connections at the brace frames. I've uploaded the model. The file name is "M61511-Porterville HS-Connection Model.rss".
