I need to specify some generic connections in a frame work, rather than quantify the loads at each connection we would like to provide a single bolted beam splice that is of equal (or slightly greater) strength than the beam as a whole. Is there a simple way to generate such loads- seems like a typical requirement for a 'splice'??
The yield strength of the beam, or some user-specified moment strength based on flexural-torsional buckling? Are you thinking of Ram Connection stand alone or one of the integrated modes? I assume the beam does not also have axial forces.
We don't have that for beam splices now.
