Hello,
I am currently working on a Ram Concept model and I was wondering how to go about exporting the column reactions from pattern loading, in particular the unbalanced moments. In the manual it says that the "loading" and "load combinations" reactions do not include pattern loading and also says that the envelope results include pattern loading but they are only kept for design strip segments, design sections and punching checks. Please help.
Thanks.
If you add punching checks then you can use Rule Set Design - Strength Design - Tables (or plans) - Punching Check Reactions to get the enveloped reaction with the effect of load patterns considered.
Enveloped results are kept for both column reactions and punching shear checks. This is stated in Section 31.3 "Reactions" in the v6.0.1 Manual:
"The other buttons in the Context group are for the enveloped results. RAM Concept displays reactions for columns (above/below) and punching checks for the envelope result of the selected context. Wall reactions will be enveloped and available for plotting in future versions."
The enveloped results can be plotted on screen for the live loading or load combination. To do this, click on Plot - Reaction tab and select the desired max or min context to view the enveloped result. There is also an option for viewing the Punching Shear Check envelope in this dialog.
You can also generate tables with the enveloped column results. To do this, open the Table folder associated with the Loading or Load Combination in the Layer tree and click on Column Below Reactions table.
I see the section in the Manual that you are referring to. I will ask the development team to clarify in a future version.
