Deflection check results in SS6

I had analyzed and designed the member in staad ss6. On checking the output I found it in a different format unlike Staad SS3. So could u please explain the highlighted terms in the sketch below as I am unable to correlate with the actual displacement results.

  • The Limit : 0.656 refers to the allowable value ( in cm ) which should be obtained by dividing the Deflection Length (L) /360. As per your screenshot, it seems like your physical member is 6m long and so I would expect this value to be 600/360 = 1.67 cm. So you may want to check whether the DJ1 and DJ2 commands in your file are ahead of the deflection check commands or not. Else the software may calculate the allowable deflection based on the length of the analytical segment 510 as opposed to the physical member specified through DJ1 and DJ2.

The Deflection : 1.263 cm refers to the actual deflection.
