Type of Connections in RAM Connection in STAAD.Pro v8i

Hi.

Is there a way we can see the details/image of all types of connections in the RAM Connection Library (integrated in STAAD)?

If there are types of connection that are not available, could you suggest what software to use or which is better, RAM Connection Standalone or the one that is integrated in STAAD?

Currently, we have the latter but we have several types of connections we shoul use but are not available in the RAM and I believe, it is not possible to create custom connections unless it is a Standalone.

Looking forward to hearing from someone who could help and advise me on this matter.

    I don't think that there is a way to see the image of each of the connection available in the RAM Connection module in STAAD.Pro. I let anyone else to correct me if I am wrong.

    All the connection types which are available in RAM Connection v11 standalone should be available in the latest STAAD.Pro version as well.

    Some connection types may not exist in RAM Connection. In that case there is another software which Bentley delivers for the connection design called LIMCON. So if some connections which you would like to design do not exist in RAM Connection, you may check LIMCON. Please note that all the connection types which are currently available in LIMCON should be implemented in RAM Connection in the nearest future.

    You are correct - it is currently not possible to create custom connections in the RAM Connection module in STAAD.Pro.

    These are some of the connections we need to use in our current project and I believe these are not available in the RAM Connection module in STAAD.Pro.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Do you happen to know if these are available in LIMCON? Also, could we make custom connections like these in LIMCON or RAM Connection  Standalone?

    Lastly, does LIMCON work like a RAM Connection module and will also require additional license?

    As Modestas answered the connections available in Staad.Pro are generally the same as those available in RAM Connection:

    In Limcon the following connections can be modelled/designed:

     

     

    From the images you provided you could use the single brace above to design the bolted connection to the brace members. The other connections shown on your pictures are nonstandard and would need to be designed by hand.
