use of generate wall/ slab connection

In finite element modelling to ensure a better connectivity between slab and the walls, you can use this  menu option Geometry > Generate Slab/Wall Connection.

Generate Slab/Wall connection is a quick tool to generate a properly connected slab and wall. For example if a slab is already meshed you can use this tool to quickly generate the wall mesh which would automatically ensure connectivity with the slab and vice versa. This feature would only be useful when both slab and walls are modeled using plate element mesh. If the wall is modeled using surface elements ( shear walls ) this feature would not work.

In that document above, there is a point where it is mentioned that beams can be deleted, because they are only used as "guidelines". So does this mean that you can have a slab-wall load path only, without beams and columns? I ask because that's what I want to achieve but the software isn't analysing without the beams and columns.
