Thank you.</description><dc:language>en-US</dc:language><generator>Telligent Community 12</generator><item><title>RE: Crank Beam Modeling in RAM SS</title><link>https://communities.bentley.com/thread/381377?ContentTypeID=1</link><pubDate>Tue, 30 Aug 2016 02:15:34 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">6dad98f5-dbc9-4c4d-a9ba-e9da8dc6aa8e:9f233f3b-f3a8-4617-a274-dcad1d4088fb</guid><dc:creator>Seth Guthrie</dc:creator><description>&lt;p&gt;I see people modeling some complex roofs in RAM SS from time to time and now that we have stub cantilevers (beams connected to only one support) there is a lot of possibilities. &amp;nbsp;My cautions are are mostly that the diaphragm should probably be flexible as you don&amp;#39;t want a rigid diaphragm inhibiting the thrust of a sloped roof. Also be sure to model each slope of the &amp;nbsp;deck with a separate polygon and remember that wind load generation is based on the original story height only. More tips:&lt;/p&gt;
