composite steel deck

Hi Everyone, 
 
 I am trying to design a steel composite deck using staad and I have a few queries: 
 1. How can I obtain the analysis results for this composite decking? 
 2. Can staad design the composite deck, and if so, how can this done?

In STAAD.Pro one can model composite beams in a couple of ways. You may refer to the section 1.7.7 of the Technical Reference Manual to find out more on both methods. Following either of these methods one can account for the stiffness due to the deck and the composite properties of the section are considered in the analysis. You may also design the beams as composite as per the AISC 9th edition ( CODE AISC ) and it would report the stress in both steel and concrete, number of shear connectors etc.
