Thanks Seth! I have already fixed it myself. But want to let you know some kinks in RAM. I uploaded the original Revision which run OK. And either Rev2 or Rev3, I don't remember, I applied more modifications, including changing Layout Type names. Which suddenly stopped working. After all the trouble I went back to Rev0 to make modifications and saved to Rev4 without changing Layout Type names, and now everything is working even without all your fine-tuning. Please check if this is RAM bugs. Thanks!

I spent an hour or so fixing the model today, I can't recount every last thing I did (added grids, moved columns, deleted and replaced stub cantilevers, added slab edges to whole perimeter, replaced deck polygons, moves line loads...) Maybe you can get v15.09 on a virtual machine just for this model.

Thanks Seth! Unfortunately I can't update to V15.09 soon. I fixed that grids issue, deleted and redrew cantilevers, but it's still not working.

It is running for me now. Columns near X Grid E673 were moved to Grid E673 (and the close by grid was removed). in addition to what I noted above I also replaced slab edges. I don't think a deleted to hidden level type has any impact on things. If you can get 15.09 installed that's best.

Thanks Seth! I couldn't update to V15.09 yet today since it's controlled by IT and I don't want to comment on their efficiency. So after you fixed tolerance / grids issue the model is running? I used to have a ground floor and I deleted it. I'm not sure if that's the culprit. Please tell me what followup I need to do after deleting a ground floor. Thanks!

Here's a working version of the file (15.09 format). I added grids, moved everything over a 1000 feet and re-framed most of the cantilevers to be on grid. I also removed one grid that was a fraction of an inch form another and re-aligned the columns to the remaining grid.

There are some very small tolerance issues in the model, for example, beam 147 is very slightly skewed such that the number is flipped to the opposite side of a standard N-S beam. That combined with very large coordinates and 0" slab offsets is causing the problems. Before I try to fix it, can you get up to version 15.09.

It looks like it's wrong, but when I zoom in it's all perfect correct. And I just deleted it and redrew it. But the same error message sustains. Please help! I'm desperate.

It looks like one of your stub cantilevers is supported on the wrong end. Use this tool to reverse the support end (or delete an replace)

In general, see RAMSS Common Framing Table Errors

In your case, I see a few things that are problematic.

1. if you are using an one way deck areas, those areas need to be completely framed, i.e. a perimeter of beams or walls along the edges of the one way deck polygons and all the interior framing should be interconnected.

2. I don't usually like mixing one and two-way decks in the same diaphragm because once you use some two-way decks the whole diaphragm gets meshed, and the transitions from one way to two way loading is complex.

3. To solve the problem at hand you'll need to add beams to complete the slab edge perimeter and some additional beams to close the gaps between closely spaced columns or walls with small breaks at the corners (or just make all decks 2-way). More on two way decks here: RAMSS Two Way Decks
