Dear Engineers,
I have a doubt that , can we able to form "(200-100)x130x12mm THK U-CHANNEL" using staad pro..
If so please guide me how to make it?

From Section Database you can add various standard sections, of various countries which is supplied with the program. If you want to use non-standard profile then in STAAD.Pro, you can create a user defined section as-- 1. User table section: Go to Tools> Create User table > Select the section type and specify the property/geometry to create the section. 2. Section Wizard: Go to Tools > Section wizard > Create the section and export it to STAAD.Pro.

Thank you very much sir. its very useful
But i am unable to give different flange size as 200mm to 100mm..
I have attached the model and image for your reference.
1.In model i am facing an error message as,
*** ERROR: MORE THAN ONE SECTION TYPE IS NOT ALLOWED IN A SINGLE TABLE
how to sort it out?
2.In image i have a doubt that what is mean as 5621.sample2.stdTD and TB. plz help me on this issue sir
The error was due to the fact that you used CHANNEL as the name for your user defined section. Channel is one of the user table section types in STAAD.Pro and hence it is leading the program to believe that you are trying to define two different section types as part of the same user table which is not acceptable. Change the name to something different. For example I changed it from CHANNEL to MYCHANNEL in the modified file.

For details on TD and TB please refer to the forum post below

In your case TD should be web thickness and TB should be flange thickness for the channel section.
Also you mentioned that you cannot define different flange size. Not sure why. All you need to do is adjust the coordinates of the corners to define the correct geometry.
5621.sample2_modified.std
There were a couple of issues
Modified file is attached for your reference.
