Hi,
Could you guide me how to create drawing from saved view please. I have go t no seed files to choose in the list hence I can not create drawing from the saved views. How can I set it.
Regards,
Boney
Just as quick test please run the key-in expand echo $(MS_DRAWINGSEED_LIBLIST) and post the results here
For an out of the box install it should return these two dgnlibs in the message center, however I'm assuming that you are connected to a network so expect different values to these:
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsimBuildingDesigner V8i Ss6\WorkSpace\BuildingDatasets\Dataset_GB\dgnlib\DrawingSeed_Architectural.dgnlib
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsimBuildingDesigner V8i Ss6\WorkSpace\BuildingDatasets\Dataset_GB\dgnlib\DrawingSeed_General.dgnlib
Your screen shot shows that the model seeds (greyed out in the Create Drawing and Sheet model sections) is modelseed.dgn. This file is used when new Models are created in the Models dialog, the Create Drawing dialog should always use a DrawingSeed*.dgnlib.
Either the configuration is incorrect or you are for some reason not connected correctly to it so are picking up incorrect configuration values.
Regards
Marc
Hi Marc,
It seems picking up the .dgnlibs you mentioned. Please find attached the screen shot as requested. Thanks for you reply.
We recommend always using the callout tools, they are integrated with the discipline specifc Drawing Seed Models so you get the right settings and have less manual steps to execute.
However if you use the 'Create Saved View' tool ensure that you select the View Type when you create the Saved View, this will give you access the the Drawing Seed Models when you manually start the Create Drawing dialog
Existing Saved Views, where the Type was not selected, can be changed from 'Saved View' to Plan, Section, Elevation and Detail views by right-clicking on the view in the Saved View dialog and picking Properties, change the Type in the General panel. Once set to Plan, Section, Elevation or Detail the view type is fixed. When you go to Create Drawing the Drawing Seed Models will be listed.
